SMS Consent and Messaging Terms

Last updated: April 16, 2026

This page explains how clients opt in to receive SMS notifications from easykare and participating practitioners for appointment and billing communications.

How consent is collected

Clients may provide SMS consent when they share a mobile number during online booking, when a practitioner creates or updates a client record, or during client intake and check-in flows. Consent is collected through an explicit, unchecked opt-in checkbox before SMS reminders, booking updates, invoices, or payment receipts are sent.

  • Consent is optional and is not required to complete a booking or receive care.
  • Clients who do not opt in can still receive email communications when available.
  • Practitioners can update communication preferences if a client changes their choice.

Consent language

I agree to receive SMS messages from easykare and my practitioner for appointment reminders, booking updates, invoices, and payment receipts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

What messages are sent

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders
  • Scheduling changes
  • Invoices and payment receipts
  • Intake reminders when enabled by the practitioner

easykare uses SMS for transactional practice communications, not promotional marketing campaigns.

How to opt out

  • Reply STOP to any SMS message
  • Reply HELP for support instructions
  • Clients may also ask their practitioner to update preferences

Message frequency and fees

Message frequency varies based on the client’s upcoming appointments, billing activity, and communication preferences. Standard message and data rates may apply according to the client’s mobile carrier plan.

Record of consent

easykare stores the timestamp, collection source, consent text version, and web request metadata for each consent event. SMS delivery is suppressed when a client has not opted in or has opted out.

  • Timestamp of consent collection
  • Where consent was collected, such as booking or intake
  • Disclosure text version shown to the client
  • Web request metadata when collected online
